Comparisons are oderous

What a lovely funny and true phrase . Comparisons stink
Do you know where the expression comes from ? Shakespeare used it in a humorous way because the original expression was Comparisons are odiuos. Comparisons can waste time .
You see both are true and both point to something they knew - and that we should too ,
Shakespeare was no pedant and he obviously relished the  freedom from this disease which was all around him.
Many post moderns think science justifies their pedantry , It doesn't . A good scientist makes decisions on many assemblages of facts and processes,  but faith and experience and experiment from other knowledge fields still plays a role in bringing them together in decisions.
If you want to keep your job as an armchair critic of my logic noone is going to stop you . If you were in my shoes oly one little failure can risk your credibility in practice . I have lasted some time in the job .
If want to cut through to the truth we shouldn't get bogged down , or bog others down by expecting them to explain themselves fully - they may just know so much more than you and they may not have enough time to get you out of kindergarten on the subject
